Check for background applications that might be using up resources and close them. Boost your internet connection, too, by getting closer to your Wi-Fi router or using an Ethernet cable.
I've had this issue too! Lowering the graphics quality in the game settings helped a lot. Also, keeping my laptop cool with a cooling pad reduced the lag.
If you're running Roblox on a potato, no settings tweak will save you. Maybe it's time for a hardware upgrade. Just saying!
