I had a hard time with this at first, but really, just lifting your finger or stopping pressing the key does the trick. The real challenge is mastering when to dash and when to wait. Took me a ton of tries to get it right, but that’s the fun of Geometry Dash!
Totally disagree with pausing gameplay as a way to 'stop' dashing. It's all about timing and skill. If you're hitting obstacles, practice more instead of trying to find ways to stop.
