Swapping the PS3 hard drive is pretty simple! Turn off your PS3, locate the hard drive bay cover on the side, remove the Philips-head screws, and slide the HDD out. Replace it with a new one, secure it with the screws, and pop the cover back on. Done!

Make sure to back up your data first! You'll need a 2.5-inch SATA HDD, unscrew the old one, pop in the new one, and reinstall the system software using a USB stick.
