As of Update 3 in Sonic Frontiers, you can't switch characters on the fly like in some old-school Sonic games. You primarily control Sonic, but the updates have brought exciting new abilities and areas to explore!

After diving deep into Update 3, I can confirm: Sonic's the main focus, but with new moves and challenges to keep it fresh!
I was hoping for character switching too, but the update keeps you rollin' with just Sonic. Still awesome though!
