First, you'll need to get yourself a Torx screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the rubber pads and screws from the bottom of the PS3. After that, carefully lift the outer shell. You'll see internal components like the fan and heatsink that may need cleaning. Use a can of compressed air to blow out dust and a soft brush for any stubborn particles. Don't forget to reassemble it correctly!

Having taken mine apart, I'd say the most critical tool is patience. Follow tutorials online, have your screwdrivers ready, and make sure you keep track of all the screws. It's not as hard as it seems!

Why bother? Just use compressed air through the vents - it's good enough.

Unplug the console, remove the hard drive, and get a Torx screwdriver. Unscrew the case and gently open it. Use compressed air and a brush to clean the dust. Reassemble and you're good to go!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
