First, you'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver and a plastic pry tool. Carefully remove the screws from the back of the controller and gently pry open the shell. Be cautious with the internal ribbon cables. Once inside, clean around the joystick bases with isopropyl alcohol to remove any debris. If that doesn’t work, you might need to replace the joystick modules. Good luck!

Easiest way? Just send it to Sony for repair if it's under warranty. Less hassle, more gaming!

Honestly, don't take it apart. You might void your warranty or mess it up more. Send it in for repairs!

I had the same issue! Just remove the four screws on the back, carefully pop off the cover with a plastic tool, and clean around the joysticks with alcohol. Worked like a charm for me!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
