First, turn off and unplug your PS5 to avoid any electrical issues. Lay it flat on a clean surface. Start by removing the base and then gently lift the cover plates off. You'll see the fan and dust catchers; use compressed air to clean without disassembling further!

Based on my experience, you should turn off and unplug the PS5 first. Lay it flat, remove the base, and gently pop off the cover plates. Clean the dust and debris with compressed air. Trust me, it's not too hard!

Unplug your PS5 and place it on a soft cloth. Remove the base, then carefully pop off the side panels. Clean away dust with compressed air, especially around the fan. Easy peasy!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
