To take off clothing in The Outer Worlds, just go to your inventory menu, select the equipped clothing, and press 'unequip'. Simple as that!

Open your inventory, highlight the clothing you want to remove, and hit the unequip button. You're good to go!
All you need to do is head to the inventory screen, hover over your clothes, and choose to unequip them. Bam! You're a space-faring trendsetter.
You can't actually walk around without any clothing equipped in The Outer Worlds. The game always defaults to basic gear. Sorry, streakers!
