First, make sure your PS5 is powered off and unplugged. Then gently lift up one corner of the faceplate and slide it downwards. Easy as pie!

I did this last week! Turn off and unplug the PS5, lift from the logo corner, and slide down.

Power down your PS5 and unplug it. Lift up the corner of the faceplate near the PS logo, then slide it down. Done!
