If you are talking about the PS3, flip it over, unscrew the bottom, and the cover should lift right off.

For a PS5, lay it down flat on a soft surface, grip the bottom corner, and slide it off. It’s surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it!

Removing the cover from a PS4? Just slide the glossy part to the left (it might need some force) and it should pop off.
