Honestly, the easiest way is to just get familiar with how real cards feel and look. Spend enough time handling legit cards, and you'll spot a fake in seconds. It's like learning to spot a counterfeit dollar by just touching it.

If the card is suspiciously cheap, it's probs fake. Real, rare Pokemon cards don't come at flea market prices, folks!

First up, the texture! Real Pokemon cards have a distinct feel to them, kinda smooth and kinda matte, you know? If it feels too glossy or too rough, that's your first red flag. Next, check the colors. Fakes often have colors that just look off, like they've been to a bad dye job. Finally, the edge of the card can give it away. Real Pokemon cards have a black layer inside the cardstock – if you don't see it, you're probably looking at a fake.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
