A surefire way to tell if a Funko Pop is rare is to check its edition size. If the box says 'Limited Edition,' it could be a hint. Look up the serial number on the bottom of the box on collector websites or forums to see how many were made. Another giveaway is if it's part of an exclusive event or store release - those usually have lower production numbers!

Just pop the box open and see if the Pop has any unique features like metallic paint, glow-in-the-dark parts, or an unusual pose. Those special editions are usually made in smaller batches, making them rarer. Also, if you've never seen it before and can't find much about it online, it's probably rare.

The real rare ones are the Funko Pops from the early days before they blew up. If it's from 2010 or earlier, you've probably got a gem on your hands. Vintage is where it's at.
