How to Tell if It's a Fake Pokemon Card
AutocancellingWeek·7 months agoFirstly, check the card texture. Real Pokemon cards have a distinct smooth feel, not overly glossy or plastic-like. Also, the colors on a fake might look off, either too dull or too bright. Hold it up to the light; real cards have a bit of transparency. Lastly, the border size should be consistent all around - fakes often mess this up.

Look at the card's HP. If it seems ridiculously high for that Pokemon, it's probably a fake. Real cards stay true to the game's balance.
Real cards have a slight layer of black ink between the card layers. You can sometimes see this on the edge of the card. If you're looking at a card and it seems to be missing this layer, think twice.
Spelling errors are a dead giveaway. If the name of the Pokémon or any description on the card has typos, it's fake. Official Pokémon cards go through rigorous proofreading.
