First off, check the packaging! Real Pokemon card packs have a consistent color and high-quality print. Fakes often look faded or the colors are just off. The seal should be tight and uniform, nothing sketchy like excessive glue or uneven wrapping. Text quality matters too; official packs have sharp and clear text, while fakes might have typos or blurry letters. And don't forget the feel of the pack—real ones have a certain heft to them, thanks to the quality cardstock inside.

Weight check! Seriously, some folks use scales because counterfeit packs can weigh differently than the genuine ones. A bit out there, but if you're into it, it's a thing.

Barcode scan it with your phone. Most legit packs have barcodes that you can scan to verify its authenticity. If your phone's scanner app doesn't recognize it, red flag big time.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
