I've been blocked before. The telltale signs were I couldn't see their 'last seen' timestamp and my messages never turned into double ticks.
If your calls to them never go through and always show ringing, you might be blocked. It's like they're ghosting you but tech-style!
You're blocked if you can't add them to a group chat. Tried this with an old friend, and it was a no-go.
