Just flip over the card and peek at the bottom right. No need to squint at the artwork or guess. The symbol there tells you all you need to know about the rarity of your Pokemon card. Simple as that.

Easiest way? Check the bottom right corner of the card. If you see a circle, it鈥檚 common. A diamond? That's uncommon. Look for a star, and you've hit rare or ultra-rare territory. Some cards might also have special symbols like a star H or three stars to indicate super rare cards. And don't forget, secret rares go beyond the set number!

Don't overthink it. The rarity symbols on Pokemon cards (circle, diamond, star) are pretty straightforward once you know where to look. I've been collecting for years, and it's the quickest check when I get a new card.

Hot take: Rarity symbols are helpful, but the real fun of collecting is in the thrill of the hunt, not just categorizing your loot by how rare it is. Enjoy the game and the community around it!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
