Honestly, just slap your items up on a trade server and see what offers come your way. Worked for me!
First, make sure you have Steam Guard enabled for at least 15 days. Then, go into your Steam Friends List, click on a friend, and select 'Invite to Trade.'
You just go to the in-game menu, click on Trading, and off you go. Pretty straightforward, I swear.
Trade items by clicking on 'Items' under the Team Fortress 2 tab in your Steam inventory. Select the item, choose a friend and hit 'Trade.'
