From personal experience, unlinking and then re-linking accounts can be a hassle but works. Make sure you have your login details and follow the steps on the Epic Games support page carefully!
Just log in to your Epic Games account on the new device. All your progress and purchases will be there waiting for you.
You can't actually transfer Fortnite accounts between users. It's one account per person according to Epic's policies.
