I've done this myself—connect both consoles to the same network, go to Settings > System > System Software > Data Transfer on your PS5, and follow the prompts. Boom, done!

First, ensure both your PS4 and PS5 are connected to the internet. Then, upload your PS4 save data to the cloud via PlayStation Plus, and download it on your PS5. Easy peasy!

You can also use a USB drive. Just copy the save data from your PS4 to the USB, then plug it into your PS5 and transfer the data.
