Most characters can be unlocked by completing the Arcade Mode with different characters. Finish with Ryu to get Sakura, finish with Chun-Li to get Gen, etc. Akuma, Gouken, and Seth need specific conditions met. Enjoy the grind!

You can unlock characters by completing Arcade Mode with various fighters. For example, finish with Ryu to unlock Sakura!

I unlocked all the characters by grinding through Arcade Mode with different characters. It's time-consuming but totally worth it!

Simplest way to unlock characters is by playing through Arcade mode. Each character you beat it with usually unlocks a new one. Special ones like Akuma have extra conditions though.
