Adventure Mode: World of Light is your answer! Just plow through the story mode and you'll gradually unlock all characters.
If you're not up for a marathon, you can unlock characters by battling it out in Versus Mode. For every 10 minutes of gameplay, a new challenger appears.
Short on time? Just beat the World of Light campaign and then start a series of Smash battles with no time limits. Characters will start dropping like flies!
