The quickest way is to keep playing World of Light or Classic Mode. Every 10 minutes you'll get a challenger approaching!
In my experience, the best way was to beat Classic Mode with different characters. It's fun and efficient!
Use the Challenger’s Approach option in the Games & More menu if you lose any fights. You'll get a second chance to unlock them!
Just spend some time playing, and they'll eventually all be unlocked. There’s no magical shortcut.
