To unlock the Crystalarium in Stardew Valley, you've gotta level up your mining skill to level 9. That's when you get the crafting recipe. Once you have it, just gather up 99 Stone, 5 Gold Bars, 2 Iridium Bars, and 1 Battery Pack. Mix them all together and boom, you've got yourself a Crystalarium to duplicate those gems!

Just buy it from the Wizard after completing the 'Goblin Problem' quest. Way easier if you don't wanna wait to level up your mining.

IMO, crafting is the way to go. The satisfaction of leveling up and gathering materials beats taking shortcuts. Plus, mining gets you tons of useful resources anyway.
