You can't directly unlock Rain in Mortal Kombat XL. He's only available as a non-playable character in the game's story mode. Bummer, I know!

Rain is not a playable character in Mortal Kombat XL on PS4. Your best bet is to get Mortal Kombat 11, where he's fully playable!
