How to Unsync Xbox 360 Controller from Console

Simply turn off the Xbox 360 console. Next, press and hold the sync button on the controller until the lights start flashing. This should disconnect it.

I usually just turn off the console and then turn off the controller by holding the Guide button until it powers down. Works every time!

Honestly, just use a wired controller if you're tired of syncing issues. No batteries, no problem.
