Easy peasy! Just make sure your Switch is connected to the internet, then navigate to the menu, press the '+' button on Splatoon 2, and select 'Software Update' followed by 'Via the Internet.' Voila! Your game will start updating!

I had to manually update it once. Just go to the game icon, hit 'Software Update,' and you should be golden!
