First, make sure you're flying a plane equipped with air-to-air missiles! Next, lock onto your target by centering it in your crosshair until the lock indicator turns green, then fire away!
Honestly, the best way to get the hang of it is to practice in the test flight mode or in custom battles. Just go out there and pew pew!
Don't overthink it - just line up your target, wait for the lock, and press the rocket button. Boom, you're a missile ace!
