You just need to plug in your USB 3.0 hard drive, format it for extended storage in the settings, and you'll be good to go!

First, make sure your external hard drive is USB 3.0 and has a capacity between 250 GB and 8 TB. Plug it into one of your PS4's USB ports, then go to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'USB Storage Devices'. Select your hard drive and choose 'Format as Extended Storage'. Boom! You're all set!

Honestly, just plug it in and format it. Takes like 2 minutes.

Pro tip: I connected a 2TB external hard drive to my PS4 for extra games. Make sure to format it through the console's settings to avoid issues.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
