To use a crab pot in Stardew Valley, first, you gotta have one, right? Craft it or buy it from Willy's Fish Shop. Then, just find a piece of water - ocean, river, lake, you name it. Place the crab pot in the water. Don't forget to bait it with anything fishy you got - bug meat or actual bait. Come back the next day, and boom, you might have yourself some crabs or trash, it's a surprise!

Just throw it in the water with some bait. Check it the next day. Easy peasy.

Don't use crab pots. They're more trouble than they're worth. Fishing rod for life.

Pro tip: place the crab pot where you walk by daily. Saves you the hassle of going out of your way to check it. I keep mine near the bridge to the beach. It's like checking the mail but for fish.
