How to use fish bait in Stardew Valley on Switch

First off, you gotta have a fishing rod that can actually use bait, which means upgrading from the bamboo pole. Once you've got the fiberglass rod or better, open your inventory, pick up the bait (stack of them works too), and then hover over the rod. A little menu should pop up that lets ya attach the bait. Just press the 'A' button, and bam! Baited and ready to catch some fish.
