You pretty much just need to find the model files in the game directory and replace your player model files with the desired NPC models.
Easy peasy! Download a mod like "Comp Mod" or "Clan Quest Mod." These mods can let you play as an NPC model. Just follow their installation instructions!
Don't overthink it. Use a modding tool and swap the models. Enjoy being that cool NPC!
