You can't use PayPal Credit directly with Apple Pay or at most physical stores, unfortunately.
Go ahead and get the PayPal app! In some stores, you can use PayPal Credit by scanning a QR code at checkout within the app.
From my experience, it's easiest to transfer the balance to a linked bank account and use a debit card at the store.
