From personal experience, I connected my Xbox 360 wired controller to my PC, and it worked flawlessly. Just reverse it for your Xbox 360, and you're good to go!

You can't directly use a PC controller on an Xbox 360 unless it's an Xbox 360 controller. PC-only controllers just won't work.
