From a fan perspective, watching in chronological order can give you a different feel. You'd start with 'Bardock: The Father of Goku' and then move to 'The World's Strongest' and so on. But seriously, release order is simpler.
Just watch the movies in the order they came out. Trust me, it's less confusing.
