You can also watch by going to a specific page or friend's profile where they're streaming and clicking the live video.
Using the app? Tap the menu button and select 'Live Videos' or search for live streams in the search bar.
Just search for the page or profile that's live streaming. Their live video should appear at the top of their timeline.
