In Super Smash Bros Brawl, you can unlock characters by completing specific in-game challenges or just playing a lot. Rack up total play time, or beat bosses and levels in Subspace Emissary mode to unlock new fighters!
Time and patience! Some characters unlock after you've played a certain number of matches.
Just keep playing through the Subspace Emissary or rack up Vs. matches. Either way, you'll eventually unlock all the characters.
