Always keep an eye on your opponent's patterns. If you can predict their moves, you'll dodge and counter them easily.
Use a character you're comfortable with. If you have a main, stick to them for arcade mode. Also, make sure to equip any helpful items you've unlocked.
Spam low kicks, trust me it's a life-saver. No one expects the ultimate footsie!
I found success by mastering just one or two reliable combos for my main character. Focus on consistency rather than flashy moves.
