Starfield runs surprisingly well on the Series S! I'm playing it at a solid 30 FPS with occasional dips in more intense scenes.
Honestly, it's playable but don't expect PC-level graphics or performance. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
If you're used to high-end PCs, you may find it a bit underwhelming, but for a console at this price, it does the job!
It runs great overall, but you might notice some frame rate drops during heavy combat or in busy space stations.
