Hot take: Mortall Kombat 1's graphics were basically 90's motion capture with a touch of magic.

I read somewhere they used real actors and filmed their moves, then turned those into sprites for the game. It gave it that unique and realistic look.

They filmed real actors doing all the moves, digitized those frames, and turned them into the in-game characters. Super innovative for its time!

Mortal Kombat 1's graphics were created using digitized sprites of real actors. They filmed the actors performing moves and then digitized those images to create the characters. Pretty cutting-edge for 1992!

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
