Just flip the card over. Look for the shiny star symbol. No complications. If it's there, you've got something rare.

Rare Pokemon cards usually stand out because they have unique features. First, check the bottom right corner of the card for a symbol. A circle means it's common, a diamond is uncommon, and a star means it's rare. Holographic cards are often rarer than non-holo ones. Also, full art or cards with special illustrations that cover the entire card are typically rarer. Lastly, any card with a gold border or gold text can hint at it being ultra-rare or secret rare.

Honestly, it's not just about the symbols. Some 'common' cards with unique misprints or from limited editions can be way more valuable than 'rare' ones with a star. Rarity symbols help, but knowing the specific card set and its demand is key.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
