Bomb fruit can be a blast (pun intended) if you like dealing area damage and want to clear NPC waves quickly. It’s great for PvE but not so much for PvP.

If you're just starting out or love causing chaos in groups of enemies, Bomb fruit is solid. It’s not the best for PvP, though.

As someone who’s used Bomb fruit extensively, I can say it’s awesome for farming NPCs and grinding Beli. But for PvP, it’s a bit lacking.
