From my experience, a balanced CPU and GPU combo works best for Fortnite. I upgraded my GPU last year, and the difference was night and day, but a solid CPU made loading faster!
Fortnite usually relies more on the GPU for performance, but a decent CPU helps a lot too. Think of it as a tandem bike; both the GPU and CPU need to pedal together for the best ride!
