Nope, different creators! Fullmetal Alchemist was created by Hiromu Arakawa, while Magi is by Shinobu Ohtaka. Both are amazing though!

Nope, different authors. Hiromu Arakawa did Fullmetal Alchemist, and Shinobu Ohtaka created Magi. Both series are awesome in their own way!
