Hot take: It's not a prequel, but does it even matter? Every One Piece movie is like a festival, a celebration of the series. Just enjoy the music and Uta's story!

Nope, One Piece Film Red isn't a prequel. It's set after the Whole Cake Island arc but doesn't fit neatly into the main timeline. It's more like a standalone adventure that focuses on a new character, Uta, who's Shanks' daughter. So, it's not about the backstory or events leading up to the main storyline.

Actually, One Piece Film Red is not a prequel. I watched it recently and it's clear it takes place after significant events in the series. The focus is on Uta and her connection to the Red-Haired Shanks, not on events before the series started. Definitely a must-watch for the fans though!

If you're a One Piece fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
