Is Reverse Osmosis Distilled Water?
SigningSpine路3 months agoNot quite. RO and distilled water are both purified, but the processes are different. RO uses a membrane filter; distillation uses boiling and condensation.

Nope! Reverse osmosis (RO) water is filtered using a semi-permeable membrane, while distilled water is created by boiling water into steam and then condensing it back into liquid.
Reverse osmosis gives you highly purified water, but it ain't the same as distilled. Distilled water's super pure due to the boiling process.
I've used both for my aquarium. Trust me, they're not the same. RO is good but doesn't remove all impurities like distillation does.
