Nah, I doubt it. Nintendo loves money too much to let one of their biggest franchises go away. We'll see more Smash for sure!

Sakurai himself has hinted that Ultimate might be his last, but never say never with Nintendo. They always find a way to surprise us.

Ultimate might be the last one with Sakurai at the helm, but I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo keeps the series alive with new developers.
