While the fully immersive, life-or-death gaming system in Sword Art Online might still be a fantasy, virtual reality has come a long way! Who knows what the future holds, but for now, you can enjoy VR without the existential risk.
Not any time soon. Real-world technology hasn't caught up yet, and maybe that's for the best!
As much as I'd love to dive into a virtual world like Kirito, current VR tech is still far from the Sword Art Online level. For now, we can stick to watching the series on Crunchyroll or Funimation!
