Hot take: Sand fruit is just okay. There are better fruits out there if you're looking for top-tier power.
Sand fruit is pretty good for crowd control, plus you get some solid damage output. I use it mostly in mid-game.
I've used sand fruit, and it's really good for grinding. Its desert sword ability is particularly useful for quick cleanups!
