To clarify, there are two distinct series. 'Fullmetal Alchemist' (2003) has one season, and 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' (2009) also has one season but more episodes.

Well, technically, the original 'Fullmetal Alchemist' (2003) is one season with 51 episodes, but don't forget the 'Brotherhood' series, which has 64 episodes!
