If you've never played Splatoon before and only have a Wii U, Splatoon 1 is still a blast and usually cheaper!

Splatoon 2, hands down! It's on the Nintendo Switch, has way more updates, and a larger player base. Plus, more weapons and gear = more fun!

Splatoon 2 is the better choice. It has an active community and lots of ongoing events. Splatoon 1 is kinda dead now.
